Is Privacy Only For the Rich?

How have we come to this?  Privacy tends to be actually available to people who can afford it.  In fact, I’ve said that the last big luxury is “not to be found on the internet”.  Imagine being invisible and unfindable (except by friends and family, and people you WANT to find you).   Amazon not already anticipating your every purchase.  Your credit card company not building a profile on you based on your purchases.

Alas, unless we all do something, expand the use of privacy tools (which hopefully will reduce the cost and make them more abundantly available), the loss of privacy for all of us hurts all of us.
